Frequently Asked Questions
What are the fees for the hub?
The donation is 160 € per family, which includes parents, partners, and children.
You’re welcome to bring along special adults like grandparents, adult friends, or aunts/uncles.
However, if these guests are bringing their own children, they will need to purchase a separate ticket for their family.
Is the contribution refundable?
Contributions to the Hub are non-refundable.
However, if you cancel you may transfer your donation to any future Hub that we host.
What is included and what do I arrange on my own?
Your contribution includes a thoughtfully curated itinerary showcasing the best activities in the area,
led by a worldschooling host. You’ll gain access to a private chat group for easy communication,
connect with other like-minded worldschooling families, and embark on unforgettable adventures.
It’s a unique opportunity to enrich your family’s learning and exploration journey.
Since each family has different budget considerations, accommodation will be arranged individually by each family.
Please note that transport, lodging, meals, visas, and entrance fees are the responsibility of the attendees.
What neighborhood will be most central to the hub,
where to book your accommodation?
Since every family has a different budget, each will find and book their own accommodation to suit their preferences.
Our main location will be in and around Amsterdam.
This region is highly tourist-friendly, offering a wide range of options at different budgets, including hostels, campsites, glamping, B&Bs, guesthouses, private rooms, hotels, entire cottages, and more.
I will be based in the Westzaan, 20 minutes from Amsterdam.
Can I stay in the area longer?
Absolutely! Families are welcome to arrive before the Hub starts and stay after it ends.
Will I need a car?
Yes, the car will be essential for the best experience.
What is the closest airport?
The closest airport is Amsterdam.
What will the spoken language be?
The common language for all families will be English.
What will the itinerary be, and how will I be informed?
Families booked for the Hub will be invited to a private Facebook group for direct communication.
One week before the Hub begins, we will release the schedule for the first week.
Regular updates on activities and trips will follow, with adjustments made as needed based on the weather.
Each day will feature a variety of activities, including exploring historical towns and castles, sampling traditional meals,
visiting museums, boat trips, kayaking, visiting parks and funfairs, playing games, and much more.
